Yellow

Pure like a drop of dazzling gold,
Yellow is the sunlight that brushes against
My closed eyes and my waiting heart
Soon deep within my soul
Hears the buzzing of warm bliss

I open my eyes and look up above,
Twirl in the swirl of green velvet under
My arms outstretched and my fingers want
To embrace the soft yellow gossamer
Streaming from the skies above

My horizons lit with this new colour
I feel my feet brazenly approach
A bouquet of sweet little daisies
They chuckle as my toes tickle them
Those moments I scoop and save;
To stir with the ones I gather
From the next new colour

Green

Resplendent with bloom,
is the newly spun sapling
nestled secretly in the sea of spring

I suddenly see green...

Green in the embroidery I walk on
Green the hedges that spell my vicinity
Green becomes the breeze with lemon basil
Green the halo at the lip of every leaf

I see green...

Green in the crawl of a caterpillar
Green the dust that floats on morning dew
Green is the olive shaped heart of the zinnia
Green is the mystery of this pristine view

Green is the hue of possibility
Awakens me to take in the beauty
Of the sheen that this newness beckons
Promising the joy of a new evolution

I keep an eye on the horizon...
